My Teacher Training Journey

Earlier this year, I was given the opportunity to participate in another Pilates training program. Even though I am a certified instructor and have been teaching for several years, I knew this was an amazing chance I couldn’t pass up.  

I knew taking on another teacher training program would be a lot of work – 600 hours of work, but I was ready.

Pure Body Teacher Training is truly an amazing program. It teaches classical Pilates, but with contemporary variations, modifications, regressions, progressions and more. The program also covers common pathologies and injuries, so I feel confident being able to teach anyone who walks through the door.

I feel very fortunate to be in my second program. When I started my first program, I was relatively new to Pilates, and I’m grateful for the perspective I had as a student with hardly any experience. Everything was new and I learned so much.

This time around is different, and I am equally grateful for the perspective I have as a teacher. I love re-learning exercises – especially ones I don’t often teach.

When I decided I wanted to become a Pilates teacher, all I knew was that I loved Pilates, and thought ‘why not give this a shot?’ I hope anyone who loves Pilates might consider this journey. PBTT is flexible – the modules happen every month or every other, spread out over a year. You can take as much time as you need to complete it. So even if you’re working full time, you can make it work.

All studios will be offering $7 classes throughout the week. Earth Day Community Class

 Earth Day is April 22nd and to honor our beautiful Mother Earth, we're hosting a donation based community class on  Saturday, April 21st at 11:00am!  All proceeds from class will be donated to The Park People - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to preserve, enhance, and advocate for Denver’s parks, recreation resources, open space, and urban forest.  RSVP  here!  Even if you can't make it to class, donations are welcome!

Anula was born in Israel and moved to New York City in 2001 in order to pursue a career in photography. While working on a degree at the School of Visual Arts she fell in love with Pilates. After college and a few years at a ‘desk’ job she realized happiness wasn’t in front of the computer screen. In 2010 Anula decided to attend Kane School for Core Integration and was fully certified by Kelly Kane. In 2014 she graduated from the Kathy Grant Heritage Training® led by Cara Reeser of Pilates Aligned in Denver, which has been a journey that has led her to a deeper understanding of the method.

Postpartum Fitness: A Pilates and PT Approach

In this workshop you will learn how to use Pilates principles and exercises to create a safe and effective fitness program for women after giving birth. We will cover rectus diastasis, prolapse, pelvic floor health and the exercises that need to be avoided to help keep postpartum clients healthy. 

This course is designed for Pilates instructors, fitness instructors, physical therapists, massage therapists and anyone who works directly with women after they give birth. It is approved for 6 CEC's through the Pilates Method Alliance. It can also be used to apply for CEC's through various agencies such as ACE and your state professional board.
